CEO and founder, Yumpingo
Yumpingo’s restaurant intelligence platform counts Wagamama, Bill’s and Mitchells & Butlers among its big name clients. Gary will return to Hostech with Jon Knight, CEO of Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group, and Gavin Adair, MD of Rosa’s Thai, for a panel hosted by Peter Martin, director of CM&Co and one of the most influential commentators on the eating & drinking out sector, to discuss how data is a “game changer” for optimising the customer experience, as Amazon demonstrated with its data-first approach.
Gary is the CEO and founder of Yumpingo, a food intelligence platform that brings big data analytics to the restaurant industry, enabling restaurants to better manage their current and future estate with more certainty, less financial risk, greater consistency and more operational control.
A qualified lawyer, Gary started his career in FMCG brand marketing and new product development for Colgate Palmolive and The Wrigley Company building brands like Wrigley’s Airways from concept to market. More recently Gary has built B2B and B2C digital platforms that better connect people, processes and marketplaces – across the e-commerce, media, digital audio and retail sectors, both in the UK and Internationally.
Gary is also a passionate cook and foodie. Whilst building Yumpingo he has worked across every aspect of running a restaurant’s service. This has helped Yumpingo form a unique perspective on the role technology plays to better connect guests with restaurant operators to transform dining experiences.
